A mobile IV appointment should not feel mysterious. You book, complete the required health information, make room for a comfortable chair and let a Registered Nurse bring the clinical setup to you.
Here is the practical version of what to expect with ZipDrip, whether the appointment is at a Kitsilano apartment, a downtown office or a Vancouver hotel.
Before the appointment
Choose a treatment and location
Start with ZipDrip’s current treatment menu and select the option that appears closest to your goal. If you are unsure, say so during booking. The longest ingredient list is not automatically the best fit.
Enter the exact service location and any access details the team requests. For condos and offices, think about visitor parking, elevators and front-desk rules. For hotels, confirm whether outside healthcare providers can access guest floors.
Complete the health-history process honestly
IV therapy is not appropriate for everyone. Provide complete information about medical conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding, allergies, medications and recent symptoms. ZipDrip’s brand guidance requires candidacy screening and RN-led care; do not leave out information because you assume it is unrelated.
Prepare a simple treatment space
- Choose a clean area with a supportive chair or sofa and enough light.
- Wear clothing that makes the arm easy to access.
- Keep pets and foot traffic away from the setup.
- Have water, your phone and any requested identification nearby.
- Follow any preparation instructions provided by the RN; do not invent your own fasting or hydration routine.
When the RN arrives
The RN confirms the appointment, reviews relevant information and completes the appropriate pre-treatment checks. This is also the time to ask what is in the selected formula and what sensations or side effects to report.
The setup uses sterile, single-use equipment. The RN prepares the IV, starts the infusion if it remains appropriate to proceed and monitors you during the session. If anything about your current condition changes the plan, the RN may pause, modify or decline treatment based on clinical judgment.
During the infusion
Most ZipDrip treatments are listed as taking about 30 to 60 minutes, although timing can vary by treatment and person. You can usually sit back, read, work quietly or watch something. Keep the treatment arm relaxed and tell the RN right away about pain, swelling, dizziness, warmth, nausea or any other unexpected sensation.
Do not treat the appointment like a drop-off service. The RN needs to monitor the infusion and should remain able to communicate with you. At a group event, build a calm treatment area away from the busiest part of the room.
After the infusion
The RN removes the IV, applies the appropriate dressing and disposes of the used materials as medical waste. A small bruise can occur at the insertion site. Follow the specific aftercare guidance you receive and ask whom to contact if you have a concern after the visit.
Individual responses vary. Some clients report feeling refreshed or more hydrated, while others notice a subtler change. IV therapy does not guarantee a particular result and is not a substitute for diagnosis, emergency care, sleep, food or ongoing medical treatment.
When mobile IV therapy is not the right next step
If you have severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, trouble breathing, chest pain, confusion, signs of a serious allergic reaction or another possible emergency, call emergency services. A mobile wellness appointment is not emergency care.
